If engine capacity falls, there was an increased noise or howlings during the operation of the fuel pump are periodically heard, then, most likely, the fuel pump failed.

Previously check pressure in a fuel supply system in the following order.

1. Check serviceability of the regulator of pressure of fuel (see. "Check and replacement of the regulator of pressure of fuel").

2. If pressure in system is less than 250 kPa (2,5 ^kgfs/cm2), replace the fuel filter (see. "Replacement of the fuel filter").

If in this case pressure does not increase, the fuel pump needs to be replaced as at the pump the hardly sorted design and its elements separately in spare parts are not delivered.

It will be required to you: the screw-driver with a flat edge, capacity for discharge of fuel from the module of the fuel pump.

1. Reduce pressure in a power supply system (see. "Pressure decrease in a power supply system").

2. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.

3. Remove the fuel tank (see. "Replacement of the fuel tank").

4. Turn off a clamping ring of the module of the fuel pump, having installed handles passatizhy, as shown in a photo …	5. … also remove a ring.

6. Accurately take the module of the fuel pump and merge from it fuel in in advance prepared capacity.	7. Remove sealing laying.

Note Surely replace laying if it is torn or pressed strongly out.

8. Disconnect a block from the plug on a cover of the case of the module of the fuel pump...	9. … and from the fuel level sensor.

10. Squeeze the ends of a clamp and remove the fuel level sensor.	11. Wring out the screw-driver clamps on the case of the module of the fuel pump …

12. … one clamp inside …	13. … also separate the case of the module of the fuel pump.

14. Take a remote half ring.	15. Hook the screw-driver …

16. … also remove the filter from the pump.

Note Attentively examine the filter on lack of mechanical damage and pollution, if necessary wash out or replace the fuel receiver filter.

17. Disconnect a block of a plait of wires from the fuel pump.	18. Unclench a collar of fastening of a hose to a branch pipe of the fuel pump and remove the fuel pump.

Note Collar of fastening of a hose of one-time use, at assembly replace it new.

19. Collect and install the module of the fuel pump as it should be, the return to removal.

Good advice For simplification of installation of a clamping ring apply on its inside of a little silicone lubricant.

Note You watch that at installation of the module tags on the fuel tank, a clamping ring and on the case of the module of the fuel pump coincided.
