Between flanges of a head of the block of cylinders and a katkollektor the sealing laying made of the thin formed metal strip is established.

At violation of tightness of this laying there is a break outside of the fulfilled gases which is followed by a characteristic sharp sound (the collector "secht"). If malfunction does not manage to be eliminated with tightening of fastening of a katkollektor, replace laying. Replacement of laying is described in the course of removal and installation of a katkollektor (see. "Removal and installation of a katkollektor of its laying").
