The course of a pedal of coupling is checked for assessment of technical condition of coupling and at clarification of the reasons of its abnormal work (coupling "conducts", "revolves", etc.).

1. Without pressing a pedal, measure distance between an overlay of a pedal and a rug of a body floor.

2. Without changing the provision of a ruler, press a pedal against the stop and again measure distance between an overlay of a pedal and a rug. The difference of two measurements has to be (139±3) mm. Adjustment of the course of a pedal in operation is not provided. The considerable deviation of the course from the specified value which is followed by abnormal work of coupling ("pro-slipping", "maintaining", breakthroughs at the time of start-off from the place), demonstrates damage of coupling or the drive of its switching off. At insignificant deviations of the course from the specified value regularly working coupling can continue to be operated.
