Drives of forward wheels are removed for their replacement at damage or for replacement of hinges and their covers. Besides, drives of forward wheels happens it is necessary to remove for receiving access to other units.

Note Drives of the left and right forward wheels of a different design (the drive of the right forward wheel is manufactured for a single whole with an intermediate shaft) therefore the left and right drives are removed partially different receptions described separately for each drive.

It will be required to you: all tools for a detachment of a spherical support from a rotary fist (see. "Replacement of a spherical support of a damping rack"), steering draft from the rotary lever (see. "Replacement of an external tip of steering draft"), and also a face head and a key "on 13", a key for nuts of wheels.

For removal of the drive of the left forward wheel execute the following operations.

1. Remove protection of a case of the engine (at its existence).

2. Merge oil from the transmission (see. "Replacement of oil in the transmission").

3. Take off a decorative cap of the left forward wheel (see. "Replacement of a wheel").

4. Weaken an inhaling of a nut of a nave and nuts of fastening of a wheel.

Preventions At a nave bolt reversing the car has to stand on the earth! Weaken and tighten nuts of fastening of wheels only on the car standing on the earth.

5. Slow down the car the parking brake, establish persistent whetstones under back wheels and raise a forward part of the car, having established reliable support.

6. Remove a forward wheel (see. "Replacement of a wheel").

Note If on the car the anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS) is installed, disconnect a block of a plait of wires from the sensor of speed of rotation of a wheel.

7. Turn off type-setting nuts of a nave.	8. Disconnect the left steering draft from the rotary lever (see. "Replacement of an external tip of steering draft").

9. Weaken an inhaling of a coupling bolt and take a bolt from an opening of a rotary fist.	10. An assembly shovel hook a rotary fist …

11. … also take from it a spherical support.	12. Take a damping rack aside a little and take a shaft of the external hinge of equal angular speeds from a nave.

Good advice If it is not possible to take a hinge shaft by effort of hands, beat out it from a nave easy blows of the hammer through a wooden pro-rate.

Prevention You watch that the shaft of the drive did not go out of the case of the internal hinge as it can lead to damage of the hinge.

13. Having rested an assembly shovel against a transmission case …	14. … to a vypressuyta the internal hinge of the drive from a semi-axial gear wheel also remove the drive of the left forward wheel assembled.

Note The gap between the case of the internal hinge and a case of the transmission is very small, at once it is impossible to insert completely into it the end of an assembly shovel. Having entered the pointed part of an assembly shovel into a gap, hammer with accurate blows of the hammer along a shovel its end deep into of a gap and remove it the hinge case from a case as a wedge until an exit of a lock ring of a shaft of the hinge from a half shaft gear wheel. Then finally put forward a shovel a hinge shaft from a gear wheel.

Preventions When using of an assembly shovel at a vypressovka of the internal hinge from a gear wheel of a half shaft of the transmission do not damage a case of the transmission and the hinge. Replace a lock ring of a shaft of the internal hinge new at each removal of the drive from the car.

15. For installation of the drive at first enter a shlitsevy shaft of the case of the external hinge into a wheel nave, establish a persistent washer and wrap a nave nut against the stop the moment of 45 N · m (4,5 kgfs · м).

16. Then enter a shlitsevy shaft of the case of the internal hinge into an epiploon of a half shaft and turn a little a drive shaft that vents of a shaft of the hinge and a gear wheel of a half shaft coincided.

17. Take away the lever of a forward suspension bracket down and the sharp movement of a damping rack with a rotary fist press the drive in a half shaft gear wheel until fixing of the drive a lock ring.

18. Sharp breakthrough for a rotary fist try to pull out a shaft of the internal hinge from a semi-axial gear wheel. If it managed to be made, repeat installation of the hinge in a gear wheel. If the repeated attempt did not result in desirable result, replace a lock ring of a shaft of the internal hinge.

19. After installation of all details fill in oil in the transmission (see. "Replacement of oil in the transmission").

20. Establish a wheel and wrap nuts of fastening of a wheel against the stop, without tightening them it is final.

21. Install the car on wheels, having removed from support, and tighten a nave nut.

Prevention Nave nut finally tighten on the car standing on the earth, the moment of 100 N · m (10 kgfs · м). Are strictly forbidden to move the car at not tightened nave nut in order to avoid damage of a separator of the hug bearing.

22. Tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel (see. "Replacement of a wheel").

23. Establish a decorative cap of a wheel (see. "Replacement of a wheel").

For removal of the drive of the right forward wheel execute the following operations.

1. Execute on the right side of the operation 1-12 car which carried out on the left side for removal of the drive of the left forward wheel (see above).

2. Turn off two nuts of fastening of a bracket of an intermediate support …	3. … take a shaft of the internal hinge from a semi-axial gear wheel …

4. … also remove the drive of the right forward wheel, bringing him out of an intermediate support.

Note If necessary remove an intermediate support … … turn out three bolts of fastening of an arm of an intermediate support to the block of cylinders of the engine … … also remove an arm.

5. For installation of the drive at first enter a shlitsevy shaft of the case of the external hinge into a nave of a wheel and wrap a type-setting nut of a nave the moment of 45 N · m (4,5 kgfs · м).

6. Then enter a shlitsevy shaft of the case of the internal hinge into an epiploon of a half shaft and turn a little a drive shaft that vents of a shaft of the hinge and a gear wheel of a half shaft coincided. The movement of a damping rack with a rotary fist enter the drive into a half shaft gear wheel against the stop.

7. Establish and fix by nuts a bracket of an intermediate support.

8. After installation of all details fill in oil in the transmission (see. "Replacement of oil in the transmission").

9. Establish a wheel and wrap nuts of fastening of a wheel against the stop, without tightening them it is final.

10. Install the car on wheels, having removed from support, and tighten a type-setting nut of a nave.

Prevention Finally tighten a type-setting nut of a nave on the car standing on the earth. A nut tighten the moment of 100 N · m (10 kgfs · м). Are strictly forbidden to move the car at not tightened nave nut in order to avoid damage of a separator of the hug bearing.

11. Tighten nuts of fastening of a wheel (see. "Replacement of a wheel").

12. Establish a decorative cap of a wheel (see. "Replacement of a wheel").
