16.3. Changes to the state standards regulating the maximum permissible content of harmful substances in the fulfilled gases of vehicles

Since January 1, 2000 in the territory of the Russian Federation change No. 1 to GOST 17.2.2.03-87 "Conservation is put into operation. Atmosphere. Norms and methods of measurements of content of carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons in the fulfilled gases of cars with petrol engines" (the resolution of Gosstandart of the Russian Federation No. 33
of February 9, 1999).
The maintenance of CO and CH in the fulfilled gases of cars with a run to 3000 km is regulated by technological norms of manufacturers.
For the cars which are not equipped with catalytic converter, the maximum permissible maintenance of CO and CH in the fulfilled gases is specified in tab. 1 * (tab. 16.1).
For the cars equipped with catalytic converter, the maximum permissible content of carbon oxide and hydrocarbons in the fulfilled gases is specified in tab. 2 * (tab. 16.2).
The size of frequency of rotation is established by manufacturer in specifications and the maintenance instruction. If it is not established, then is accepted
nmin=(800±50) of mines-1, npov = (3000±100) min.-1.
According to amended wording of item 1.3 state standard specification at excess of the norms specified in tab. 16.1, 16.2, the car is considered technically faulty and before elimination of this malfunction is not subject to operation.
