Notes It is more convenient to perform work on the elevator. It is possible to execute it and on the car installed on support. Replacement of a tip is shown on the example of the left steering draft, replace the right tip similarly. Carving of the left tip right, and right — left.

1. Lift and establish on a support a forward part of the car from the replaced tip. Remove a wheel.

Prevention Slow down the car the parking brake and establish an antiretractable emphasis ("boots") under back wheels.

Good advice If connections of details are strongly polluted, clear them a metal brush and process the easily getting liquid.

2. Measure and remember length of a free part of a carving of steering draft that at assembly whenever possible not to break a corner of a convergence of wheels.	3. Weaken an inhaling of a lock-nut of a tip of steering draft.

4. Turn off a nut of fastening of a spherical finger of a tip to the lever of a rotary fist, holding a finger from a provorachivaniye.

Note Nuts of fastening of spherical fingers of external tips of steering drafts самоконтрящиеся. At each removal replace nuts new.

5. Establish a stripper of spherical hinges …

Note If the tip of steering draft is removed not for replacement, screw a nut on a hinge finger that at a vypressovka a stripper not to spoil a carving.

6. … and a vypressuyta a finger from a lug of the rotary lever.

Good advice In the absence of a stripper the finger of the spherical hinge can be beaten out sharp blows of the hammer to an end face of a lug of the rotary lever, striking blows along a lever axis.

7. Unscrew a tip from steering draft, counting quantity of turns that at installation of a new tip the convergence of wheels whenever possible did not change.

8. Establish a new tip as it should be, the return to removal, having screwed it on steering draft on such quantity of turns which was counted at removal, and tighten a lock-nut the moment specified in the appendix 1.

9. Repeatedly measure length of a free part of a carving of steering draft. This length has to correspond to the value measured in item 2. If it not so, weaken a lock-nut and either screw, or screw together a tip depending on that, length of a free part of a carving increased or decreased. Tighten a lock-nut and repeat check.

10. Check and if necessary adjust the angles of installation of wheels at service station.
