According to the recommendation of manufacturer a belt of the drive of auxiliary units (the generator, the water pump and the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering) it is necessary to change each 60 thousand km or 6 years of operation (depending on what will come earlier).

It will be required to you: a face head "on 8", a key "on 19", the special device for installation of a belt, a knife.     

1. You will hang out a forward part of the car and establish on a reliable support. Remove the right forward wheel (see. "Replacement of a wheel").

2. Remove the right forward flap (see. "Removal and installation of mudguards of wheels and flaps").

3. Remove the protection cover of belts of drives of auxiliary units and the compressor of the conditioner, having turned out a face head "on 8" bolts of its fastening to the engine.

4. Take off a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering (see. "Replacement of a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering").

Note According to recommendations of manufacturer belts of drives of auxiliary units and the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering for removal should be knifed then they become useless. This results from the fact that both belts even after removal without damage are not subject to reuse as are calculated only on one-time extension at installation on pulleys (adjustment of a tension of belts is not provided). Besides, replacement of belts is regulated after the certain run or term of operation.

5. Take off a belt of the drive of auxiliary units, having knifed it.

6. Wipe with pure rags pulleys of all units to exclude slipping of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units at installation.

7. Establish a new belt of the drive of auxiliary units on pulleys of a bent shaft, the water pump and compressor of the conditioner so that the belt was on the central part of streams of pulleys. Install on a pulley of the water pump adaptation in the situation shown in fig. 4.7, having pressed it before the click meaning fixing of adaptation on a pulley.

Prevention Make sure that the clamp of device for installation of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units, having latched on a pulley, accurately fixed adaptation. Otherwise the belt at installation will be damaged.

8. Take off a belt from a pulley of the water pump and establish it on a generator pulley. Turn the device for installation of a belt counterclockwise in the situation shown in fig. 4.8 and get a belt for adaptation pad.

Prevention Make sure that the belt is correctly installed on assembly adaptation, otherwise at installation it will be damaged.

9. Include the I transfer in the mechanical transmission (or install the selector of an automatic box in situation "P" – the parking) and slow down the car the parking brake to record a bent shaft of the engine from a provorachivaniye.

10. Turn the device for installation of a belt for the bolt established in it clockwise (fig. 4.9) until putting on of a belt on a pulley of the water pump (at this moment the tension of a belt will weaken).

Prevention Track that assembly adaptation was not clamped between a belt and a pulley of the water pump, otherwise the belt will be damaged.

11. Having hooked the big screw-driver or an assembly shovel, shift assembly adaptation from a pulley of the water pump, having overcome resistance of its clamp.

12. Install the transmission lever in neutral situation.

13. Turn a bent shaft a key "on 19" for a bolt of fastening of its pulley approximately on 90 ° in such situation that assembly adaptation was not clamped by a belt, and remove it.

Note The device for installation of a belt of the drive of auxiliary units of one-time use as at installation it is deformed.

14. Turn a bent shaft of the engine on two turns and check correctness of an arrangement of a belt in streams of pulleys. If necessary repeat installation of a belt.

15. Establish a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering (see. "Replacement of a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering").

16. Establish details as it should be, the return to removal.
