According to the recommendation of manufacturer a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering it is necessary to change each 60 thousand km or 6 years of operation (depending on what will come earlier).

It will be required to you: a face head "on 8", a key "on 19", the special device for installation of a belt, a knife.

1. You will hang out a forward part of the car and establish on a reliable support. Remove the right forward wheel (see. "Replacement of a wheel").

2. Remove the right forward flap (see. "Removal and installation of mudguards of wheels and flaps").

3. Remove an engine mudguard (see. "Removal and installation of a mudguard of the engine").

4. Take off a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering, having knifed it.

Note According to recommendations of manufacturer the belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering for removal should be knifed then the belt becomes useless. This results from the fact that the belt even after removal without damage is not subject to reuse as it is calculated only on one-time extension at putting on on pulleys (adjustment of a tension of a belt is not provided). Besides, replacement of a belt is regulated after the certain run or term of operation.

5. Wipe with pure rags pulleys of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering and a bent shaft to exclude slipping of a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering at installation.

6. Install the device for installation of a belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering on a pulley of a bent shaft in the situation shown in fig. 4.10.

7. Put on a new belt a pulley of the pump of the hydraulic booster of steering, pass under the lower part of a pulley of a bent shaft and install it on assembly adaptation, as shown in fig. 4.11.

8. Install the transmission lever in neutral situation.

9. Turn a bent shaft of the engine clockwise for a bolt of fastening of its pulley, at the same time sending a belt to a pulley stream until putting on of a belt on a pulley (at this moment the tension of a belt will weaken).

10. Turn a bent shaft to situation at which assembly adaptation will not be clamped by a belt, and remove adaptation.

Note The device for installation of a belt of the drive of the compressor of the conditioner of one-time use as at installation it is deformed.

11. Turn a bent shaft on one turn and check correctness of an arrangement of a belt in streams of pulleys. If necessary repeat installation of a belt.

12. Establish the removed details as it should be, the return to removal.
