10.8.6. Check and replacement of sensors of a control system of the engine

The sensor of provision of a bent shaft of the engine is installed in a back part of the block of cylinders of the engine opposite to a flywheel.
At emergence of malfunction in a chain of the sensor of provision of a bent shaft the engine ceases to work, the controller brings a code of malfunction in memory and includes an alarm lamp in combinations of devices. In this case check serviceability of the sensor.
It will be required to you: a face head "on 8", a tester.
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Squeeze a clamp …
3. … also disconnect a block of a plait of wires from conclusions of the sensor of provision of a bent shaft.
4. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the sensor …
5. … also take the sensor from an opening in the block of cylinders.
6. Measure by a tester resistance between sensor conclusions. The nominal rate of resistance has to be within 0,5–0,6 kOhm. If resistance does not correspond to the specified limits, replace the sensor.
7. Install the sensor of provision of a bent shaft of the engine as it should be, the return to removal.

The sensor of position of the camshaft is installed from above on a head of the block of cylinders. At malfunction in a sensor chain the controller brings a code of malfunction in memory and uses the roundabout program of management.
You will need a key "on 10".
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Squeeze a clamp and disconnect a block of a plait of wires of the sensor.
3. Turn out a fastening bolt …
4. … also take out the sensor from an opening in a head of the block of cylinders.
5. Measure by a tester resistance between sensor conclusions. The nominal rate of resistance has to be within 0,5–0,6 kOhm. If resistance does not correspond to the specified limits, replace the sensor.
6. Install the sensor of position of the camshaft as it should be, the return to removal.

The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is installed in the case of the distributor of cooling liquid located under the ignition coil.

Note
The coil of ignition is removed for descriptive reasons.

Check resistance on sensor conclusions at various temperature conditions.
It will be required to you: a key "on 19", a tester, the thermometer.
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Merge liquid from the engine cooling system (see. "Replacement of cooling liquid").

Good advice
When replacing the sensor cooling liquid can be not merged: after removal of the sensor muffle an opening a finger or a stopper — loss of cooling liquid will be minimum.

3. Having pressed a clamp, disconnect a block of a plait of wires from the sensor.
4. Weaken an inhaling and turn out a hand the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid.
5. Connect a tester to conclusions of the sensor and measure resistance, and the thermometer take the current temperature.
6. For measurement of resistance on sensor conclusions at various temperature conditions lower the sensor in hot water and check change of its resistance in process of water cooling, controlling water temperature the thermometer. Nominal resistance of the serviceable sensor is specified in tab. 10.6.

7. At resistance deviation from norm replace the sensor.
8. Screw the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid and tighten its moment 12 N · m.
9. Connect a block of a plait of wires to the sensor.
10. Fill in cooling liquid.

The combined sensor of absolute pressure and temperature of the soaked-up air is installed in an inlet collector.
It will be required to you: TORX T20 key, tester, thermometer.
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Remove the air filter (see. "Removal and installation of the air filter").
3. Wring out a clamp …
4. … also disconnect a block of a plait of wires from sensor conclusions.
5. Turn out the fastening screw …
6. … also take the sensor of absolute pressure from an inlet pipe.
7. Install the new sensor in the sequence, the return to removal.

The sensor of provision of a butterfly valve is built in a cover of throttle knot therefore at a sensor exit out of operation replace throttle knot in collecting (see. "Removal and installation of throttle knot").

For replacement of the operating sensor of concentration of oxygen you will need a special cutting face key "on 22".
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Remove the air filter (see. "Removal and installation of the air filter").
3. Squeeze a clamp of a block of a plait of wires of the sensor of concentration of oxygen …
4. … also separate a block.
5. Install a special cutting key on the sensor and turn out the operating sensor of concentration of oxygen.
6. Install the new sensor of concentration of oxygen as it should be, the return to removal.

For replacement of the diagnostic sensor of concentration of oxygen you will need a key "on 22".
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Remove the thermofilter, take a clamp 1 and separate a block 2 plaits of wires of the diagnostic sensor of concentration of oxygen.
3. Turn out the sensor (for descriptive reasons this operation is shown on the removed katkollektor) …
4. … also take it from a katkollektor.
5. Install the sensor upside-down.

The sensor of a detonation is screwed in a wall of the block of cylinders in its top part under an inlet collector in a zone of the 3rd cylinder.
For replacement of the sensor of a detonation you will need a key "on 13".
1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the rechargeable battery.
2. Wring out a clamp …
3. … also separate a block of a plait of wires of the sensor of a detonation.
4. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the sensor of a detonation to the block of cylinders …
5. … also remove the sensor.
6. Install the detonation sensor as it should be, the return to removal.
